Skiing/Snowboard Trip 1-Mount Seymour March 5, 2020

I realize that this is actually the second ski/snowboard trip of the year but it gets the honor of being number 1 since it was actually a reschedule of a December trip. A mudslide sent shockwaves through the Extreme Outdoor Education program as trips to Sasquatch were cancelled for the rest of the year. However, when Extreme Outdoor Education encounters an obstacle, like the mighty river it finds a way. When one door closes, a window opens, and the first ski/snowboard trip to Mount Seymour went great with a little fog, a lot of International students, and great snow conditions. Extreme Outdoor Education students (and anyone else who wants to) leave a 100 word response below.

This snowboard trip was my first time at Mt. Seymour. Aside from some runs being really flat and having a lot of hiking involved, it’s nice mountain. Snowboarding on this day in specific was really good because it was snowing and there was a lot of powder to ride through. On this trip, I worked only directions so I didn’t get lost and I learned not to follow other people because they will get you stuck.

This was my first time going to Mt. Seymour. It was a lot of fun with all the fresh snow that we received while we were there the conditions just kept getting better. Even though I lead my friends down a way we probably shouldn’t have gone. I had a fun time and would definitely go again. 10/10
